Saturday’s Race Directors Ramblings
Hi just one more sleep!
We will start with a message regarding non arrival of numbers. All information you need is on the latest news section on our web site
Busy and long day ahead for us, please do not telephone or e mail us expecting a reply as we will be out on the course making sure it is safe and enjoyable for you. Fair to say you have had plenty of information!
Main message for race day is arrive early!
This race does not happen on its own. The financial and in kind support from all the sponsors, the logistical support from North East Lincolnshire Council and the 350 volunteers needed has been phenomenal. Our plea is for you to thank as many of the volunteers as you can, they will really appreciate it.
Whilst as with any event there may be one or two niggles, we can honestly say that as race directors we have done everything possible for you….so enjoy it!
Quick word about The Town Hall….we expect this to be busy with people sorting number issues out. There is nothing in there for you, so stay outside and join in the live fun with Lincs FM.
The ENGIE Mad Mile is back for 2017! What’s this then? It is an accurately measured mile along Peaks Parkway which will be chip timed with a separate set of results produced. Personal choice as to whether you do anything different, for some it adds a challenge within a challenge.
Start and finish will be signified by a race arch. Trophies for fastest overall male/female as well as fastest male/female living in North East Lincolnshire. Good fun.
We will be posting on social media today, so you know where race plans are. We wont have time for chitter chatter tho! Leave that to you!!
All that remains is for us to ask that you really embrace the day and have a fantastic time. It will make our day to see all your smiling faces going over the line….doing a Mobot of course!
Have a safe and enjoyable race
Cheers Nicola and Neil
