April 4, 2017

As race organisers we have been overwhelmed by the support and enthusiasm for the inaugural ABP Humber Coastal half marathon. To have 1000 runners signed up after just over 48 hours is something we could never have imagined.

Our ethos with all of our races is to provide our runners with a ‘safe and enjoyable race day experience.’  This is something we will never compromise.

We have been inundated with requests from runners wanting to take part in the race who unfortunately missed out in obtaining a place. With this in mind and our ethos we will review the entire race plans to assess if we can release a further batch of places and make a decision asap.

In the meantime you can sign up to the waiting list and be personally informed if we release further places WAITING LIST

We will however endeavor to make reasonable adjustments wherever possible.

Any visually impaired athlete is encouraged to run with a guide, who has a hi-viz tabard on denoting their role. Entry into the race is free for a guide, please contact Nicola@tape2tape.co.uk or telephone 07919603800 to discuss arrangements. guided-runner

Race course

ABP - humber coastal half marathon logoThe race starts and finishes on Central Promenade in Cleethorpes with fabulous coastal views along The Humber and out to sea.

The first 2 miles are based entirely along the coast, where runners can see for miles around.

A quick trip through Thorpe Park holiday Park will then see runners enter South Sea Lane and head out to the A1031, which will have a full road closure in place for your safety.

The race then turns left towards Tetney Lock, along very quiet country lanes and onto a lovely trail heading back towards the holiday parks.

A return route along the sea front and onto the promenade where thousands of spectators will cheer you underneath the finish arch.
