North Lincs Half Race Update

Dear athlete

Thanks again for entering the 8th North Lincolnshire Half Marathon. This is the first of our periodic updates for you, as we love to keep you updated with how race plans are going. As well as the serious stuff, we do try and introduce some humour into our correspondence(appropriate humour of course!)

Hope your training is going well and you are managing to stay injury/illness free.

There are now just under 8 weeks to the race, which will see well over 2000 runners hit the flat, fast and friendly course.

What have we been up to?

  • Medals have been designed and order placed.
  • Jelly baby/bean station agreed through CH Jefferson accountants.
  • Lincolnshire Co-op have again agreed to supply water for the race.(5 water stations with bottles and cups)
  • Our extensive race plans have been scrutinised and agreed by the event safety advisory group(police, fire, ambulance, council, highways etc)

Race Crew Needed!

If you have any family/friends who dont want to run but wish to be part of this great sporting occasion, why not ask them to become part of the race crew. They will actually receive a fab tee shirt without running the race!(now that sounds good!) Have you moved house or changed any of your details?

Quite simply, you need to update the on-line entry system you used to enter the race. Advice on how to do so can be found on our web site in the FAQS >>>ADVICE  . You will also find the answer to most of your questions about the race in there.

And finally…running is good for you, isn’t it?

As runners ourselves we love to run! Well, when we are not crocked that is ! We are both recovering from having a knee operation within a few weeks of each other. Today’s surgery methods are amazing and we both hope to don our trainers again very very soon. In the meantime we will just have to concentrate on making sure you have a great time at our races!
