In 2019 we directly and indirectly contributed thousands of pounds to local charities and community groups through our races. We involve many young learners in the races too, which provides them with invaluable skills which will ultimately help them in the workplace.
🥇 Ever wondered what happens to left over medals and tee shirts? 👚
🏃♂️It is always a difficult decision knowing how many medals we need as the order needs to be placed 3 months before every race! 🏃♀️
🤔We do try and keep left overs to a minimum but inevitably there are always plenty left after a race .😀
🎄 We work very close with the fabulous charity Operation Christmas Child based in Grimsby. They do an amazing job, packing thousands of shoe boxes which go to needy children all over the world. 🎅🏻
👍There are now literally thousands of children happily sporting Tape2Tape medals and tees all over the world 🌎
👏So by entering our races you are truly helping to put a smile on lots of children’s faces every Christmas 👏
20-2-18…Boxes full of tee shirts and medals have gone to Operation Christmas Child. Also, loads of mugs are being put to good use at a local soup kitchen
Thanks to the generosity of The Lincolnshire Wolds Head torch runners, a magnificent £390 was raised through voluntary donations for the Lincs/Notts air ambulance.
Since we launched Tape2Tape in 2012, we are very proud to have been able to support many local charities and community groups at each of our events. We do this in many ways by providing financial donations, free places and a platform to create local awareness. This has included – local Hospices, When You Wish Upon A Star, Bloodwise, Victim Support, Diabetes Charity, McMillan, Mind, Health Tree Foundation, Local Rotary, Scouts, Cadets, Schools, Youth Football teams, Churches, Army Cadets, Foundations, Disability Groups and many, many more.
This could not happen without the runners coming along and supporting our events, this is what enables us to keep supporting these causes and making donations, which have ran into tens of thousand of pounds over the previous years – Thank you to all of our supporters.
We are also proud to provide many learning opportunities for young people and adults alike, through being involved in our events.
We are always looking at new ways to include the local community at our events, are you part of a local community group? Would you like to be involved? Don’t hesitate to contact us to find out how you can join in the fun.
