NEW FOR 2018…run in the daylight, dark or both!!
You now have the opportunity to walk/jog/run the Santa Stride in the daylight, in the dark or both!
The daylight one will start at 230pm, the dark around 415pm.
Free Santa Suit and medal for participants.
If you enter both you will receive two medals, but use the same Santa Suit. Reduced entry for entering both!

Different medal for the daylight and darkness run
If you enter both the afternoon and evening strides then the system will automatically discount the entries as follows:
Adults (15+) – £12 for one, £18 (£9 each) for both
Children (5 to 14) – £8 for one, £12 (£6 each) for both
Children (under 5) – £4.50 for one, £7.50 (£3.75 each) for both

There are 2 different options open to you(subject to final agreement). You just enter teh event and decide which one you want to do on the day.
Everyone starts off together and the shorter option will be well signed.

Wherever possible please use one of the many car parks in Cleethorpes.
There is parking close to the Discovery Centre for anyone with disabilities.

It is not a race and no prizes will be awarded.
All finishers will receive a medal, which will be different for the daytime and nighttime event.

When do I receive my number and Santa Suit?
- You collect these on the day from Cleethorpes Discovery Centre where the event is based. They will be available an hour before the start of the day/night event.
How do I know if my entry has been successful?

Can I push a pushchair in the event?
Yes as long as you are respectful of the other participants and members of the public.
Can I wear earphones?
We do not support the use of earphones as they will stop you from hearing instructions from the marshals, or other danger around you.
Are the medals different for the daytime and nighttime event?
Yes they are !
Can I transfer from day to night or night to day?
Yes you can as long as it is before 2pm on Thursday 11th December. Please e mail email@example.com
Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
I am doing both events, how many Santa Suits will I receive?
Just the one.....entry fees reduced for doing both.
Are the runner numbers different between night/day?
Yes there will be 2 different sets of numbers
Will there be an entertainment
It's Christmas so of course there will be ! The traditional Christmas themed warm up will happen 15 mins before the start

Terms and conditions
Entry into the event is subject to the following..
. There is no minimum age for entry. Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety of their children during the Santa Stride
. Refunds of entry fee will not be considered under any circumstances.
. We are unable to defer any entries to future years. This is as your entry fee will be used to purchase goods and services many months before the event takes place.
. Transfer of your entry to other participants is allowed up until 3pm on 15th December
. The organisers will not be responsible for the loss, theft or damage of your personal belongings, other than caused as a result of our negligence
. It is your responsibility to make sure you have the required fitness to complete the stride.
. Please listen to and respond to the advice given by marshals. They are there to ensure that you and the general public are safe.
. The organisers do not advocate the use of personal headphones during the stride. If you do choose to run with headphones on you do so entirely at your own risk as it will significantly reduce your ability to listen to safety instructions.
. It is your personal responsibility to ensure that you arrive in good health ready to complete the stride. You are advised to note the advice at http://www.runnersmedicalresource.com .
. There will be event medical cover in place at the stride. If you require any assistance, please notify a marshal/official and they will make contact with the medics.
. It is the responsibility of anyone with a disability that may adversely affect themselves of other entrants to undertake a suitable assessment of risk of the course. Please contact the organisers if you wish some assistance in this respect.
. Please respect the countryside and dispose of your waste in a sensible manner.
. In the event that adverse weather or any other prevailing circumstances mean that the stride is to be cancelled, details will be recorded on the web site and on the Face book page. A message will also be left on the event mobile phone. No refunds will be given, however we will make arrangements so you can collect your Santa Suits and medals. The organisers are not liable in any way for any expenditure you may have incurred.
. Please ensure that you note any medical conditions on the rear of your running number.
. Do not run using any other runners number.
. By entering the race you give your permission for any photographs/video recordings to be used on the event web site and on social media.
. All dogs are banned from the event. Anyone wishing to run with a sighted guide must contact the organisers in advance of race day.
. Any found property handed to the organisers will be kept for 2 weeks after the stride then it will be disposed of. Any postage charges will be the responsibility of the loser should a request be made to post lost items
. It is your responsibility to check that any food you purchase at the event is suitable for your needs and does not contain any ingredients that you are unable to consume as a result of a medical condition.
. You must wear a headtorch or carry one during the night run, as well as wear bright clothing

The event is inclusive and we encourage entries from everyones, irrespective of their ability. We encourage anyone who has any concerns about the course and whether or not it is suitable for their individual circumstances to contact Nicola by e mail Nicola@tape2tape.co.uk or telephone 01472 824894. We will be happy to meet with you on the course and discuss any areas of concern you may have.
The course itself is flat, which should make it suitable for athletes in wheelchairs. There is one section of rough ground approximately 80m in length and a few ‘speed humps’ to negotiate.
You are however encouraged, irrespective of your ability, to contact Nicola@tape2tape.co.uk or telephone 01472 824894 to discuss your individual circumstances so we can jointly decide on the best start time or position in the field for you.
There are plenty of parking spaces close to the start/finish area.
The Discovery Centre has a large car park with easy access to all facilities. There is a ‘disabled’ toilet based in the main building.
Any visually impaired athlete is encouraged to run with a guide, who has a hi-viz tabard on denoting their role. Entry into the event is free for a guide, please contact Nicola@tape2tape.co.uk or telephone 01472 824894.

If any athlete requires specific assistance on race day, we ask that you contact us as early as possible.
We actively encourage anyone to come forward and volunteer to assist at the race. We will work with you to provide the most appropriate role for your circumstances
