Race overview

Firstly a massive thank you to the race crew volunteers who made the race possible in rather difficult windy conditions…they were awesome. Also, a big thank you to all you runners for your supportive words about the safety decision we made to just host the 10k.

Hope you all have lots of use out of your traditional Gruesome beanie hat over the coming months.

See you again for the 2019 version!

A massive thank you to all the fab photographers who worked tirelessly on the day to take pics for you and back at home with hours of editing and uploading.

Feel free to download and share the fabulous pics from 2018 taken by the volunteer photographers on your behalf. How they managed to stay on their feet in those winds!!

The volunteer race crew timing team did a fantastic job. Given they had the task of timing up to 800 runners coming over the finish line in quick succession they were amazing.

Under normal circumstances with 400 runners in the 10k, who finish before the first of the 400 runners in the half start crossing the finish line the task is more straight forward. However as we had to combine the race their task was made more difficult.

The results are recorded based on the slowest of the 2 runners in a team
