Come along to Cleethorpes for the first ever Haunted Halloween Hobble.

Why not get dressed up in your Halloween costume and be sure to have a Spooktacular time with your family and friends.

There will be lots of scary surprises as you make your way around this dark haunted route.

This event is suitable for everyone over a 4.5km or 3km course where you can run, jog, walk or push a push chair.

Spooky medal for all finishers.

Make sure you have a head or hand torch so you can spot the spooky going ons!

Race entry

Adult (15yrs & upwards) – £10

Child 5yrs to 14yrs – £7.50

Child 4 and UNDER – £4.50

Small card process fee will be added at checkout (3.5%)

Race HQ

This will be at the fabulous Cleethorpes TapHouse, where you can buy yourself a drink and a bite to eat before or after the event. This is located on Kings Road, Cleethorpes. DN35 0AG

You will need to collect your number from there before the hobble starts. Please bring 4 x safety pins with you to attach it to your costume!

Race course

There are 2 different lengths of route which you can choose from on race day. They both start and finish at the same point, all you need to do whilst out on the course is decide if you want to do the shorter or longer route, which will be well signed.

  • When will I receive my number ?

    On the day of the Halloween Hobble from 3.30pm onwards from Cleethorpes TapHouse(formerly the Discovery Centre) Please bring 4 x safety pins with you

  • Can I have a refund/transfer to another race/defer to next year?

    Sorry no. As soon as you enter this race we incur costs such as on-line entry fees which we can not recoup. You can however transfer your entry to another runner until 4pm on 30th October. Details of how to do so can be found >>> TRANSFERS

  • Where does it start/finish?

    Next to Cleethorpes TapHouse, Kings Road, Cleethorpes

  • Can I push a pushchair?

    Yes as long as you are careful and respectful of the other participants and members of the public.

  • Can I wear headphones?

    We do not support the use of earphones as they will stop you from hearing instructions from the marshals, or other danger around you. You will also miss out on the Haunted fun!!

  • I have a disability, can I take part?

Terms and conditions

Entry into the event is subject to the following..

. There is no minimum age for entry. Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety of their children during the Halloween Hobble

. Refunds of entry fee will not be considered under any circumstances.

. We are unable to defer any entries to future years. This is as your entry fee will be used to purchase goods and services many months before the event takes place.

. Transfer of your entry to other participants is allowed up until 4pm on 30th October

. The organisers will not be responsible for the loss, theft or damage of your personal belongings, other than caused as a result of our negligence

. It is your responsibility to make sure you have the required fitness to complete the stride.

. Please listen to and respond to the advice given by  marshals. They are there to ensure that you and the general public are safe.

. The organisers do not advocate the use of personal headphones during the stride. If you do choose to run with headphones on you do so entirely at your own risk as it will significantly reduce your ability to listen to safety instructions.

.  It is your personal responsibility to ensure that you arrive in good health ready to complete the stride. You are advised to note the advice at http://www.runnersmedicalresource.com .

. There will be event medical cover in place at the stride. If you require any assistance, please notify a marshal/official and they will make contact with the medics.

. It is the responsibility of anyone with a disability that may adversely affect themselves of other entrants to undertake a suitable assessment of risk of the course. Please contact the organisers if you wish some assistance in this respect.

. Please respect the countryside and dispose of your waste in a sensible manner.

. In the event that adverse weather or any other prevailing circumstances mean that the stride is to be cancelled, details will be recorded on the web site and on the Face book page. A message will also be left on the event telephone. No refunds will be given, however we will make arrangements so you can collect your medal. The organisers are not liable in any way for any expenditure you may have incurred.

. Please ensure that you note any medical conditions on the rear of your running number.

. Do not run using any other runners number.

. By entering the race you give your permission for any photographs/video recordings to be used on the event web site and on social media.

. Any found property handed to the organisers will be kept for 2 weeks then it will be disposed of. Any postage charges will be the responsibility of the loser should a request be made to post lost items

. It is your responsibility to check that any food you purchase at the event is suitable for your needs and does not contain any ingredients that you are unable to consume as a result of a medical condition.

. You must wear a headtorch or carry one during the night run, as well as wear bright clothing

Tape2Tape  will be taking photos at the race. These images will be used  to share news about the event and to publicise our next event.  Images may be used in press releases, printed publicity and published on the Tape2Tape webbsite, Flickr, Facebook etc . If you would prefer for you or your child (when photographing under 18s) not to be photographed, please speak to Tape2Tape.

Inclusivity

The event is inclusive and we encourage entries from everyone, irrespective of their ability. We will be happy to meet with you on the course and discuss any areas of concern you may have.

The Course

The  course itself is flat, which should make it suitable for athletes in wheelchairs. There is one section of rough ground approximately 80m in length and a few ‘speed humps’ to negotiate.

You are however encouraged, irrespective of your ability, to contact Nicola@tape2tape.co.uk or telephone 01472 824894 to discuss your individual circumstances so we can jointly decide on the best start time or position in the field for you.

 

Parking

There are plenty of parking spaces close to the start/finish area.

Access

The Discovery Centre has a large car park with easy access to all facilities. There is a ‘disabled’ toilet based in the main building.

 

Visual impairment

Any visually impaired athlete is encouraged to run with a guide, who has a hi-viz tabard on denoting their role. Entry into the event is free  for a guide, please contact Nicola@tape2tape.co.uk or telephone 01472 824894.
