Race overview

Back again for its 4th year, the St. Hugh’s Hospital Family Fun run is part of the day of running in Cleethorpes on Sunday 20th September. It takes place at the same time as the ABP Humber Coastal Half marathon/10km race and is exactly 1 mile in length.

Starting near to Cleethorpes Leisure Centre on the coastal path, the walk/jog/run heads back along the coastal footpath and finishes underneath the arch on the sea front. Medal and sweets for all finishers.

Entry to this event is £5 with discounts available for family/group entries (all entries must be on the same order to qualify and the discount will be applied at the checkout page).

Family of two – 40p per person discount

Family of three – 50p per person discount

Family of four or more – 80p per person discount

Race HQ


HQ for the fun run is the RNLI building on Cleethorpes Sea Front.This is approximately half a mile from the start of the fun run/jog/walk.

This is where you are to pick your number up from.

Race course

The walk/jog/run starts on the coastal footpath, about 2 minutes walk from Cleethorpes Leisure Centre. It travels along the coastal footpath, onto the promenade and finishes underneath the arch on the sea front.

Wherever possible please use one of the many car parks in Cleethorpes.

Terms and conditions

There is no minimum age for entry, however parents/guardians are responsible for any child who enters the fun run.

Refunds of entry fee will not be considered under any circumstances.

It is not possible to defer an entry to future years nor to any other Tape2Tape event.

The organisers will not be responsible for the loss, theft or damage of your personal belongings, other than caused as a result of our negligence.

It is your responsibility to make sure you have the required fitness to complete the fun run.

It is your personal responsibility to ensure that you arrive in good health ready to complete the race. You are advised to note the advice at www.runnersmedicalresource.com

There will be event medical cover in place at the run. If you need any assistance, please notify a marshal/official and they will make contact with the medics.

If a runner with disabilities wishes to enter, please make contact with the organisers to discuss the feasibility of safely participating in the race. We will arrange a site visit with you so that you can undertake a suitable assessment of risk.

Please listen to and respond to the advice given by race officials and marshals. They are there to ensure that you and the general public are safe.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you arrive in good time for the start of the run.

In the event that adverse weather or any other prevailing circumstances mean that the race is to be cancelled, details will be recorded on this website and on the event Facebook page. A message will also be left on the event mobile phone. No refunds will be given, however we will make arrangements so you can collect your race souvenirs. The organisers are not liable in any way for any expenditure you may have incurred.

Please ensure that you note any medical conditions on the rear of your running number. If you have any prevailing medical condition that you wish to make the organisers aware of then please notify by e mail.

Do not run using any other runners number.

By entering the race you give your permission for any photographs/video recordings to be used on the event website.

Runners must not be accompanied by anyone on a pedal cycle.

All dogs are banned from the race. Anyone wishing to run with a guide dog must contact the organisers in advance of race day.

Any found property handed to Tape2Tape will be kept for two weeks after the race then it will be disposed of. Any postage charges will be the responsibility of the loser should a request be made to post lost items.

It is your responsibility to check that any food you purchase at the event is suitable for your needs and does not contain any ingredients that you are unable to consume as a result of a medical condition.

Privacy notice – Tape2Tape will process your personal information for the purpose of organising and administrating the  race and in accordance with the Data Protection Act. This will include contacting you with updates in regard to the race. We will not process your personal information for any other purpose or disclose it to any other third parties without your consent.
