Future of Gainsborough Morton 10k…and NEW Half Marathon!

Gainsborough Morton 10k and a new Half Marathon to Transition to RunThrough ownership in November 2025.

The Gainsborough Morton 10k, which has become a popular year-end race known for its fast, flat course, will be under new ownership starting in 2025. Since its inception in 2012, the event has grown significantly, with Tape2Tape taking over the race in 2020 and expanding its reach across the UK. In the coming years, RunThrough will take the reins, continuing the legacy of the event while bringing their passion for inspiring active nations through running. There will also be a brand new half marathon for 2025.

Rob Sullivan, Head of Operations at RunThrough, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome the Gainsborough Morton 10k into the RunThrough family. We share Tape2Tape’s commitment to delivering a high-quality race experience, and we look forward to continuing to build on the event’s success. Our aim is to make this already popular race even bigger, bringing together runners from all over the country to enjoy the stunning Lincolnshire countryside and the opportunity to chase PBs along the flat, scenic course.”

Tape2Tape, who have expertly grown the event since 2020, expressed their confidence in the future of the Gainsborough Morton 10k under RunThrough’s leadership.

Nicola and Neil Pattison, Co-Founders of Tape2Tape, said: “We’ve loved organising the Gainsborough Morton 10k and seeing it become a firm fixture for runners at the end of the year. However, after several successful years, we’re excited to hand over the baton to RunThrough in a bid to gain better work life balance for ourselves. With their experience and passion for running events, we know they will continue to grow and enhance this fantastic race in the years to come.”

The Gainsborough Morton 10k offers a scenic route through the Lincolnshire countryside, taking runners past views of the River Trent. Known for its PB potential due to the flat course, the race attracts participants from across the UK.

As the baton passes to RunThrough, participants can expect an event that builds on the tradition of excellent organisation and community spirit that Tape2Tape has established.
