Gainsborough Morton 10k 2024 Race Update
Dear Runners
We want to take this opportunity to update you, our sponsors, community groups, service providers, charities and volunteers about this years Gainsborough Morton 10k.
As fanatical runners, Tape2Tape was initially formed as a hobby in 2012 by Nicola and Neil. We continue to be the only full time people working on providing you with safe and enjoyable races. In the run up to events we have a great team that come together and help us with some magnificent support.
2024 has been a very demanding year for us both away from work. We have been and continue to deal with some significant health issues within our family which is taking up a considerable amount of our time and energy. This is an absolute priority for us and will continue to be our priority. Inevitably, the pressure from this has started to take its toll on us both and we are in desperate need of a rest from work.
We are very much committed to our running family (you!), so the decision that we have made has not been an easy one. We have made the decision that after the ABP Humber Coastal Half/10k on Sunday 15th September, we will be taking some much needed time out away from work and as a result we will not be in a position to organise the popular Gainsborough Morton 10k in November this year.
We know this will be very disappointing for you as we have built this into a really super late year 10k, but feel that you will understand given the reasons why it will not take place.
The race will return in 2025 and details will be shared as soon as we can.
We are both committed to organising road races for many years to come and feel that this time out will help to rest our minds and bodies, whilst allowing us to spend some much needed time with our family. We will be back stronger in 2025 with the much loved North Lincolnshire Half Marathon & 10k on the 2nd March.
For those volunteers who have ‘free entry codes’ these are valid for 2 years from the date of allocation and for any of our upcoming races.
We sincerely thank you for your continued support and understanding. We hope to see you at the upcoming ABP Humber Coastal Half Marathon & 10k on September the 15th.
