Future of The North Lincolnshire Half Marathon and 10k
Sunday 1st March 2026.
The North Lincolnshire half marathon was the first ever race that we organised as fledgling race directors way back in 2012. We started out with 600 enthusiastic runners and now with the inclusion of a 10k we hit well over 3000 runners earlier this year. We have put our heart and soul into developing this event and feel it is in a real good position to move forward into 2026 and beyond.
Having both worked in previous full time careers for over 30 years and developed Tape2Tape alongside it for the last 13 we have decided to take a step back from this event to allow us more quality time with each other and our growing family. Whilst we absolutely love this race, especially with it being our first will always hold a special place for us. We have however decided the time is right to step aside and let another event organiser take over the reins. This will free up some much longed for quality time that we have been thinking about.
We are still absolutely very much fully committed to the Orsted Great Grimsby 10k and ABP Humber Coastal half marathon and 10k.
We are so very grateful for all the support given to the race by you runners, our team and volunteers as well as the many charities and community groups we have been able to support. We just could not have done what we have done and left this legacy without you.
With immediate effect the event will be overseen by RunThrough and plans are firmly in place for the race to take place on Sunday 1st March 2026.
Rob Sullivan, Director of Operations at RunThrough, said: “We’re delighted to welcome the North Lincolnshire Half Marathon & 10k into the RunThrough family. We look forward to continuing on the legacy of this fantastic event for years to come, and can’t wait to see thousands of you cross the finish line on March 1st!”
Entry for the event is now open.
