After organising free head torch runs since 2011 we have both decided it is time to prioritise our family and have a more balanced home/work life.
Thousands of pounds have been raised for local charities over the years and we have had some great support from a fine team of organisers who have put torch runs on in support of us.
There is however still a great deal of work involved in both organising and administering the runs.
Our focus also needs to be on Tape2Tape to ensure we can continue organising running events for years to come. Many companies have folded in recent months due to rising costs and low runner numbers. We don’t want this to happen to us.
Whilst it will be disappointing for us to no longer host these runs, we are very proud of what you have all have helped us to achieve.
We have loved seeing the many runners who have come together at some lovely locations across the region and helped us raise funds by doing so. The runs on cold dark evenings have brought a lot of enjoyment for runners from far and wide.
We are aware that discussions are taking place with a view to a new group of people organising torch runs under a new banner.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported the torch runs and made them really special over the years.
