Race Directors Ramblings…North Lincs Half & 10k

E mail sent out to all runners at 5am 27th February.

Good morning and hope you are well with just 3 sleeps to go until the race. When we say sleeps, as you will see from the timing of this e mail, we have been up since 3am with 1001 plans racing through our heads!…it is however just normal, even after 13 years of race organisation!

We do have a decent brew machine in the office which will keep us going.

The serious bits…

Runner Guide

As you are all decent folk you will have read the runner guide from cover to cover..at least once! We will say no more.

Number Concerns

Concerned about your runner number not having arrived…..please act now and don’t leave it until race day….thank you.

Top Race Day Tips

If you are really conscientious and want to go to the top of the ‘conscientious runner class’ you may wish to read our Top Race Day Tips too.

Unable to run

The on-line entry system is now in locked down so no more changes can be made. We have a meeting today  with Results Base who are timing the race to go through data checks and discuss race day plans.

Please see the withdrawal guidance below.

Plans are  in hand with 3 busy days ahead mainly focussed on logistics, equipment checking and preparation of everything that we need to transport down to the race.

We also held a big operational meeting earlier in the week with all team leaders, the traffic management company and the medical providers. This was an opportunity for everyone to come together and see how all the different plans fit together and ask any final questions to compliment the individual briefings they have already had out on the course.
